How to Craft the Eccentric Tome

Getting the Ingredients

You need two things: a single Book and a Bookshelf. The Book is made from three Paper and one Leather in the standard vanilla recipe. The Bookshelf requires six Wood Planks and three Books, so you will actually need four Books total if you are crafting the shelf from scratch — three for the shelf and one for the Tome itself.

Crafting the Tome

Open a crafting table and place the Book and the Bookshelf together in the grid. The exact arrangement is a shapeless-style combination, so the positions do not matter as long as both items are present. The output slot will show the Eccentric Tome. Take it out and it is ready to use.

First Use

Right-click with the Tome in hand to open its interface. It will be empty at first. You now need to feed it guidebooks — see the guide on storing books for the next step. Keep the Tome somewhere safe; it becomes more valuable as you add more guides to it, and losing it means re-collecting every book you stored.
