Sit Down Using Right-Click Mode

Setup

Right-click mode is the most straightforward sitting method and works in most situations.

Steps

1. Find a location where you want to sit (on the ground, near a campfire, or anywhere flat)

2. Look directly downward at the ground beneath you

3. Hold sneak (default: Shift) to crouch

4. While still sneaking, release sneak and press sneak again to "unsneak" briefly

5. Immediately press right-click (default: right mouse button)

6. Your character will sit down

Exiting

Press sneak (Shift) again to stand up and resume normal movement. You can sit for as long as you like—there's no time limit. This method works well when you want precise control over when you sit down.
