How to Use Shulker Boxes as Backpacks While Exploring

Why This Changes Exploration

Normally a Shulker Box is dead weight until you find flat ground to place it on. Easy Shulker Boxes removes that limitation, effectively turning every Shulker Box in your inventory into a backpack you can open on demand. This is huge for mining trips, cave exploration, and long journeys where you fill up fast.

A Practical Workflow

1. Carry one or more Shulker Boxes in your inventory, ideally with a few empty slots reserved.

2. When your inventory fills with ore, cobblestone, or loot, hover over a Shulker Box and press Left Shift.

3. Right-click items in your inventory to push them into the box, or scroll to pick the slot you want.

4. Close the panel and keep exploring — the box never leaves your inventory.

Organizing Multiple Boxes

If you carry several Shulker Boxes, dedicate each to a category: one for ores, one for building blocks, one for food and potions. Because you can open any of them instantly, you can sort loot on the move instead of dumping everything into one box. This keeps your hotbar and main inventory clear and makes unloading at your base far faster, since each box is already sorted by type.
