Troubleshoot Chainmail Crafting Issues

Recipe Not Appearing

If you don't see the chainmail or chain recipes in your crafting menu, verify the mod is properly installed and enabled. Check that you're using a compatible Minecraft version. If using recipe viewers like JEI or NEI, refresh them by pressing a hotkey (usually R or O).

Wrong Crafting Pattern

Chainmail recipes require specific arrangements in the crafting grid. Open your crafting menu and look for the exact pattern shown in JEI or your mod wiki. Don't assume the pattern—each piece (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) may have different layouts.

Missing Chain Materials

Crafting Grid Size

Make sure you're using the correct crafting grid size. Most armor recipes require a 3×3 crafting table, not a 2×2 inventory grid. Use a full crafting table for armor pieces.
