How to Add Markers, Areas, and Lines to Your Dynmap

Dynmap supports custom markers so you can label bases, shops, arenas, or regions on the map. Markers live in marker sets, which you can show or hide from the map sidebar.

Creating a marker set and markers

Use the in-game commands (run them as an operator or from the server console). The general pattern is:

  • /dmarker addset <setid> <label> creates a new set.
  • /dmarker add <label> set:<setid> adds a point marker at your current position.
  • /dmarker addarea <label> set:<setid> starts an area; then use /dmarker addcorner at each corner to outline it.
  • /dmarker addline <label> set:<setid> starts a line, adding points with /dmarker addcorner.

After creating a set, use /dmarker listsets and /dmarker list to confirm what exists. You can move a marker with /dmarker movehere <label> set:<setid> while standing at the new spot.

Managing visibility

Each set has options such as whether it is hidden by default, whether labels show, and its display priority. Use /dmarker setstyle and related subcommands to adjust these. Players can then tick sets on or off in the map's sidebar without needing commands.
