View Player Locations and Activity on the Map

Finding Active Players

Dynmap displays every connected player as a marker on the live map, making it easy to see where people are exploring or building.

1. Look at the map and locate small character head icons—these represent active players

2. Each player marker shows their in-game username and current skin face

3. Hover over or click a player's marker to highlight them or see additional info

4. The map updates in real time as players move around

Tracking Player Movement

Watch the map as players travel through your world. You can follow friends, see where building activity is happening, or check if anyone is exploring new areas. Some server setups include a player list panel showing all connected players with their coordinates—click a name to jump the map view to that player's location.

Player markers disappear from the map when they log off. This feature is useful for server admins monitoring activity and for players coordinating meetups or finding teammates.
