How to Farm Cones, Catkins and Tree Seeds
What Each Tree Drops
Dynamic Aether trees drop propagation items from their leaves and, in some cases, from the tree itself. Cones come from conifer-style species like Highsproot, Glacia, Skyroot Pine, Cruderoot and Holiday Tree. Catkins come from Beladon and Blightwillow. Seeds come from Skyroot, Enchanted, Crystal, Blighted Skyroot, Conberry, Aerfin and Roseroot trees. Caps come from mushroom trees.
Breaking Leaves for Drops
If you want the propagation item specifically, break the leaf blocks rather than felling the trunk. Leaves have a chance to drop their species item, and breaking them manually lets you target the canopy without destroying the tree. Use shears or a fast tool to clear leaves quickly. Felling the trunk also drops leaves' contents, but items can scatter into nearby terrain.
Setting Up a Seed Farm
Plant your collected cones, catkins or seeds in rows on Aether soil with a few blocks between each so canopies do not merge. This creates a self-sustaining loop. Keep a chest nearby for overflow, since a mature tree can drop many items at once when its canopy is cleared.
