Dynamic Trees Plus turns ordinary cactus blocks into growing, branching cactus trees. To get saguaro fruit, you first need a living cactus tree rather than a vanilla cactus column. Place a cactus on sand or another valid cactus-supporting block and let it grow; with this mod installed, it develops into a dynamic tree shape over time instead of a single stack of blocks. Bone meal can speed up growth if the mod allows it for that species.

Harvesting the Fruit

Once the cactus tree matures, saguaro fruit appears on its arms. Right-click or break the fruit to collect it, similar to how you'd harvest other dynamic tree drops. If you want more cactus trees, look for pillar cactus seeds among the drops and plant those to start new ones.

Practical Tips

Keep your cactus farm away from where you walk, since cactus still damages entities on contact. A walled or fenced plot prevents accidental pricks while you harvest. If fruit isn't appearing, give the tree more time and light, and make sure it's actually a dynamic cactus tree and not a leftover vanilla cactus block.
