Adjust Brightness to Your Preference

Open the Mod Settings

Press the Mod Menu key (default: right-click on the mods button, or check your keybinds) and locate Dynamic Fullbright Mod in the list. Click the gear icon or settings button to open its configuration screen.

Configure Light Scaling

You'll see sliders for minimum block light and minimum sky light. These control the lowest light level the mod will allow in dark areas:

  • Lower values (closer to 0) preserve more darkness and atmosphere—caves and night feel genuinely dim but still visible
  • Higher values (closer to 15) make everything brighter, reducing contrast

The default range (4–15) is a good starting point. Adjust both sliders until dark areas feel comfortable to navigate without losing the game's mood.

Fine-Tune Entity Lighting

If mobs or players appear over-lit or washed out, toggle Entity Light Scaling or adjust its separate slider. Disabling it entirely can help if you're using another mod that handles entity lighting.

Save and Test

Close the settings menu. Changes apply immediately in-game. Move between lit and dark areas to confirm the balance feels right for your playstyle.
