Dyed Flames Mod Guide

Making Fire Match Its Source

Dyed Flames Mod is a purely visual, client-side mod that changes how burning mobs look. Instead of the standard orange flames, a burning mob now emits flames and smoke trails colored to match the fire source it is standing in or was ignited by.

The mod supports vanilla fire, soul fire, modded fire blocks, and custom fire types. Because it is fully data-driven, new fire types can be added through simple JSON edits rather than code. This means you can define a fire type and its associated flame color, and any mob burning from that source will display the matching effect.

There are no gameplay changes: damage, spread, and other mechanics stay exactly as they are. The mod only affects rendering, so it works alongside other mods and does not need to be installed on a server for clients to see the effect. To use it, simply have it present on your client and burn mobs with different fire sources to see the color differences.
