Choosing Your Dwarf Faction

Dwarven Realm Mod adds two Eastern Dwarf factions to The Lord of the Rings Mod, each with distinct gameplay. The Red Mountains Dwarves align with the Free Peoples, remain friendly with western dwarves, and deploy Fire-thrower units in combat. The Wind Mountains Dwarves serve Sauron as an evil faction, stay neutral to other dwarves, but attack Humans and Elves on sight, using Crossbower units instead.

Both factions feature fortified mountain strongholds and active smithies where you can craft faction-specific gear and shields. Explore the rugged eastern peaks to discover settlements, recruit specialized troops, and gather regional crafting materials. Each clan offers unique structures, decorative banners, road systems, and waypoints to navigate their territories. Complete faction-specific achievements as you progress through either alliance.
