How to Toggle Durability Tooltips On or Off Without Uninstalling
Why You Might Want to Hide Them
Durability tooltips are handy most of the time, but they can clutter the screen during building sessions, screenshots, or when you are managing a large storage system and hovering over many items quickly. You do not need to remove the mod to get a clean view.
Disabling the Tooltip
Open the mod's configuration file or in-game config screen. Locate the main toggle, usually named something like "Enable Tooltip" or "Show Durability." Set it to disabled and save. From that point, hovering over items will no longer add the durability line, but the mod stays installed and ready.
Re-enabling Later
Return to the same config entry and flip the toggle back on. The change takes effect the next time you hover over an item, though a client restart guarantees a clean reload if the tooltip does not reappear right away.
A Middle-Ground Approach
If you only want less noise rather than a full off switch, combine the toggle with the display style setting. Switching from numbers to a compact bar or short text reduces visual weight while still giving you the information. This is a good compromise for players who find full numeric readouts distracting but still want a warning before a tool breaks.
