How to Change Durability Display Between Numbers, Bars, and Text
Finding the Display Style Option
Open the mod's configuration screen from the Mods list (or the in-game mod options menu if your mod loader exposes it there). Look for a section labeled something like "Display" or "Tooltip Style." The mod offers three visual modes for showing durability: numeric values, a bar, and text. Select the one you prefer and save the config.
What Each Style Looks Like In Practice
- Numbers shows the remaining and maximum durability as digits, so you can read exact values at a glance.
- Bar renders a small graphical bar that fills or drains as the item wears down, useful when you want a quick visual without reading digits.
- Text uses a worded description of the item's condition instead of raw figures, which keeps the tooltip cleaner.
Applying the Change
After saving, hover over any tool or weapon in your inventory, hotbar, or a container. The tooltip should immediately reflect the new style. If it does not, close and reopen the container or restart the client so the config reloads. You can switch styles at any time, so try each one during normal play to see which reads best for you. Players who enchant or repair gear frequently often prefer numbers, while builders who just want a rough sense of wear tend to like the bar.
