Set Up Your Durability Guard Threshold
Configure When Tools Stop Working
The durability guard threshold determines at what durability percentage your tools become unusable. By default, this is set to a conservative level to prevent accidental tool loss, but you can adjust it to match your playstyle.
How to Change the Threshold
1. Open your mod configuration files (usually found in the config folder of your Minecraft instance)
2. Locate the Durability Guard Mod configuration file
3. Find the threshold setting—this is typically expressed as a percentage or durability point value
4. Adjust the number higher if you want more warning time before tools lock, or lower if you prefer to use tools closer to breaking point
5. Save the file and restart Minecraft for changes to take effect
Testing Your Settings
After configuring, take a tool you don't mind damaging and use it repeatedly until it reaches your threshold. You should see a warning banner appear when the limit is crossed, and the tool will refuse to function. This confirms your settings are working correctly. If the threshold feels too aggressive or too lenient, return to the config file and fine-tune the value until it matches your preferred safety margin.
