Where to Find the Loot Chest, Brewing Stand and Bed Inside a Swamp Hut

What the Overhaul Adds

Vanilla swamp huts are nearly empty. This data pack fills them with a loot chest, a brewing stand, and a bed, turning each hut into a usable outpost. The exact placement differs between the mud hut and wooden hut variants, so search the whole footprint.

Searching Efficiently

1. Deal with the witch first — fighting inside a cramped hut is worse than fighting outside. Lure her out the door or through a hole you break in the wall.

2. Check the main floor room by room. The bed is usually tucked against a wall rather than in the center, and the brewing stand sits on a solid surface nearby.

3. Look for the chest on the ground floor before digging. In the wooden variant the layout is more spread out, so check side rooms you might otherwise skip.

4. If a room looks empty, break suspicious floor blocks — some builds tuck storage under the floorboards.

Using What You Find

The brewing stand is the real prize: it lets you brew potions on site using the swamp's own resources. Gather brown mushrooms from nearby swamp trees and nether wart if you brought it, then brew while your bed sets your respawn. The chest typically holds a mix of utility items and valuables, so empty it fully before leaving.
