How to Survive the Hostile Mobs Inside the Temple

The overhauled desert temple is not just a puzzle box. It is populated with hostile mobs, and they are placed to punish players who rush through corridors and rooms without checking corners.

Preparing Before You Enter

Bring full armor, a decent weapon, food, and plenty of light. Torches or another light source let you see into rooms before you commit to entering them. A shield helps against sudden melee hits in tight corridors.

Fighting Through the Structure

Move room by room instead of sprinting through the whole temple. Hostile mobs can be tucked behind corners, inside hidden passages, or near the graves and TNT traps. Light up each room as you clear it so nothing spawns behind you. If you hear mobs but cannot see them, check for hidden passages rather than assuming they are through the next doorway. When you find a group, fight in a doorway or corridor so you only face one or two at a time. Do not fight while standing on suspicious sand or near exposed TNT, since a stray hit or a creeper blast can set off the trap and destroy the loot you came for.
