How to Get and Use the Outreach Enchantment

Outreach is a custom enchantment added by this data pack. It increases your block interaction range, which is genuinely useful inside a trap-filled temple where you want to reach levers, chests, or suspicious sand without stepping into danger.

Where to Find It

Outreach is found inside the Desert Ruins structure. Search the temple and the surrounding village buildings, including chests and any loot containers you uncover while brushing suspicious sand. Because the structure is rare, you may need to explore more than one ruin before you find it.

Applying and Using Outreach

Outreach applies to the chest slot, meaning you enchant a chestplate rather than a tool. Once applied, it extends how far you can interact with blocks. This is most valuable when disarming traps: you can flip a lever, open a chest, or brush suspicious sand from a safer distance instead of standing on the trap itself. Higher levels of Outreach extend the range further, so if you find multiple copies, combine them on an anvil to push the level up. Keep an Outreach chestplate on you whenever you explore a new Desert Ruins, and swap it in before you start brushing suspicious sand or reaching for suspicious mechanisms.
