Comparing 3D Tools Across Different Materials
Seeing Material Differences
While the DTW 3D Tools and Weapons Resource Pack adds the same three-dimensional treatment to all tools, the underlying material textures remain distinct. A wooden pickaxe looks different from a stone pickaxe, which looks different from an iron or diamond pickaxe—just as in vanilla Minecraft, but now with added depth.
Organizing Your Comparison
To see how different materials appear with 3D models, gather tools of the same type but different materials. For example, collect a wooden axe, stone axe, iron axe, and diamond axe. Hold each one to observe how the material color and texture translate into the three-dimensional model.
Using Armor Stands for Side-by-Side Viewing
Place multiple armor stands in a line and equip each with a different material tier of the same tool type. This creates a clear visual progression showing how the 3D models look across wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond variants. The blocky geometry remains consistent, but the surface textures and colors change with each material.
Enchanted Variants
Try comparing plain and enchanted versions of the same tool on different stands to see how the enchantment glint interacts with the thicker 3D models.
