Set Up Your First Shulker Box for Item Collection

Prepare Your Shulker Box

Before you can collect dropped items directly into a shulker box, you need to have one ready. Craft or obtain a shulker box (any color works). Make sure it's empty or has space for the items you plan to collect.

Equip in Your Offhand

Place the shulker box in your offhand slot. You can do this by:

• Opening your inventory
• Clicking the shulker box and placing it in the offhand slot (the slot next to your main hand)
• Or by holding an item in your main hand and shift-clicking the shulker box to move it to offhand

Start Collecting

Once the shulker box is in your offhand, simply walk over dropped items as you normally would. Items will automatically flow into the shulker box instead of your main inventory. This works for any dropped items—ores, blocks, mob drops, or crafting materials.

Retrieve Your Items

When the shulker box is full or you're done collecting, open it to access your items. You can also break the shulker box to pick it up as an item while keeping its contents intact.
