If you want items to scatter the way they do in unmodded Minecraft, you can set the drop spread to match vanilla physics. This is helpful if you're testing mod compatibility or prefer the standard experience.

Steps

1. Open chat and type: /gamerule dropSpread2 1

2. Press Enter to confirm

3. Kill a player to verify the spread matches what you expect

The value 1 represents vanilla velocity—items will launch and spread exactly as they would in unmodded Minecraft.

Why Use This?

You might set this if you've previously tightened the spread and want to revert, or if you're running a mixed-mod environment and need consistency. It's also useful as a baseline for comparison when testing different spread values.

Remember that this is a gamerule, so it applies server-wide to all players. Individual players cannot override it.
