Make Items Drop in a Tight Cluster

Reducing Drop Spread

If you want player items to land close together when someone dies, you need to lower the drop spread value. This is useful for survival servers where you want to make item recovery easier and prevent loot from scattering across a wide area.

Steps

1. Open chat and enter: /gamerule dropSpread2 0.1

2. Press Enter to apply the setting

3. Test by having a player die and observe where items land

The value 0.1 is the mod's default and creates the tightest cluster. Items will drop almost directly beneath the death point with minimal horizontal spread.

Fine-tuning

If 0.1 feels too tight, try intermediate values like 0.3 or 0.5 for a slightly wider but still manageable spread. Any value between 0.1 and 10 is valid. Lower numbers = tighter clusters; higher numbers = wider spread.

This setting persists across server restarts, so you only need to set it once unless you want to change it later.
