Why Shield Size Matters

The default vanilla shield takes up a large portion of your screen when blocking, making it hard to see incoming attacks or navigate. Drodi's Shield Resource Pack solves this by shrinking the shield model significantly.

How to Use It Effectively

1. Equip a shield in your main hand

2. Hold right-click to raise it and enter blocking stance

3. Notice how much more of your surroundings remain visible compared to vanilla

4. Keep the shield raised while moving to maintain vision of mobs and terrain

Offhand Advantage

If you place the shield in your offhand slot, it becomes completely invisible in first-person view while still providing full protection. This is ideal for:

• Exploring dangerous caves without obstruction
• Fighting multiple mobs while maintaining clear sightlines
• Precise building or combat where screen space is critical

Switch between main hand (visible but smaller) and offhand (invisible) depending on whether you need to see your shield's angle or want maximum visibility.
