Applying the Shader

DreamFall Shaders modifies how your world appears visually without changing any blocks or gameplay mechanics. Once installed, the shader automatically applies a VHS found-footage effect to your game world.

Your vanilla blocks remain unchanged in shape and function, but their colors and lighting will shift to match a dark, unsettling fantasy atmosphere. Sunlight becomes strange and eerie, while shadows deepen into an unsettling gloom.

The effect mimics old 1990s video tape recording quality, creating a creepy horror-movie aesthetic. This works best in darker environments like caves, forests at night, or the Nether, where the VHS distortion and color shifts enhance the spooky mood.
