Reduce Fog Density When It's Too Oppressive

Locate Fog Settings

Open the shader options menu in-game and find the Creeping Fog or fog density slider. This controls how thick the fog appears in your world and how far you can see before the world fades into mist.

Lower the Fog Value

If fog is making exploration frustrating or causing performance issues, reduce the fog density setting. This will increase your view distance through the fog and make distant landmarks visible again. The fog will still create an eerie atmosphere—you're just making it less suffocating.

Adjust by Biome or Time

Some players prefer keeping fog thick at night for horror effect but reducing it during the day. Unfortunately, this shader doesn't offer per-biome fog control, so you'll need to use a single setting that works across all conditions.

Balance Atmosphere and Gameplay

Remember that fog is a core feature of the horror aesthetic. Reducing it too much will diminish the dread factor. Aim for a middle ground where you can see enough to play comfortably but still feel the oppressive atmosphere the mod is designed to create.
