Unlock Broodmother Ability

As a Female spider, you gain access to the Broodmother active ability once you reach adult form through molting. This lets you lay egg sacs that hatch into unique spider helpers.

Control Offspring Type Through Environment

Egg sacs hatch differently based on light level and dimension. Experiment by laying sacs in bright areas, dark caves, and different dimensions to discover which conditions produce the spider types you need. Document what works so you can breed specific helpers for different tasks.

Feed Your Colony

Your spider minions depend on fresh prey. Hunt regularly and ensure poisoned kills fill your Silk Essence meter—this sustains your ability to molt and breed. Share kills with your colony by hunting near them.

Expand Territory with Web Traps

Use Produce Silk to place Silken Cobweb blocks around your nesting area. These create natural barriers that trap enemies while letting your spiders move freely. Layer traps strategically to funnel intruders into kill zones.

Protect Against Fire Threats

Build your colony away from lava and fire sources. If fire spreads near your nest, your spiders take increased damage. Consider water channels or firebreaks as defensive measures.
