Expand Your Island Without Falling Into the Void
Plan Your Expansion Carefully
Before placing blocks, decide which direction you want to expand. Mark out your intended area mentally or with temporary markers. Expanding outward from your starting island gives you room for farms, builds, and storage without cluttering your main base.
Build Safe Platforms
1. Use stone slabs or full blocks to create a solid floor extending from your island.
2. Place blocks in a connected path so you always have ground beneath you.
3. Build railings or walls along the edges to prevent accidental falls into the void.
4. Work methodically—add one layer of blocks at a time rather than rushing outward.
Create Checkpoints
As you expand further, build small shelters or platforms at intervals. These act as safe zones if you need to quickly escape mobs or recover from a mistake. Keep your main base visible so you can always navigate back. Consider building a bridge or pathway with clear markers between your base and expansion areas. This makes traveling safer and helps you avoid disorientation in the sky.
