Switch Between Different Crosshair Styles
Understanding Resource Pack Variants
Many dot crosshair packs include optional files or variants that let you choose between different styles—such as a solid dot, a hollow ring, or a crosshair with a center point.
Enabling or Disabling Variants
Check the resource pack's pack.mcmeta file or any included documentation for optional texture sets. Some packs use a folder structure where you can:
- Rename or delete texture files to switch styles
- Enable/disable specific folders to load different versions
- Use the resource pack's configuration file if one exists
Testing Your Choice
After making changes, reload the resource pack by pressing F3 + T (or navigating to resource pack settings). Launch a world and verify the crosshair matches your preference. If you're unsure which variant is active, compare it against screenshots in the pack's documentation.
If the pack doesn't support variants, you can manually edit the texture file yourself to create a custom style that suits your aiming preference.
