Customize the Dot Size and Color
Locating the Crosshair Texture File
The dot crosshair is defined by a texture file within the resource pack. Navigate to the resource pack folder and find the textures directory. Look for the crosshair texture file—this is what controls the appearance of your dot.
Editing the Dot
Open the crosshair texture file in an image editor like Paint.NET or Photoshop. You can now modify:
- Size: Resize the dot by scaling the image up or down. A larger canvas with the same dot size makes it appear smaller in-game, and vice versa.
- Color: Change the dot's color by adjusting the pixel values. Most dots use white or light gray for visibility against varied backgrounds.
- Opacity: Reduce the alpha channel to make the dot semi-transparent if it feels too intrusive.
Save your changes and reload the resource pack in Minecraft. The new crosshair will appear immediately in-game. Test it in different lighting conditions to ensure it remains visible and doesn't obstruct your view during gameplay.
