Customizing Loot with Data Packs

Understanding Custom Loot Tables

The Doomsday Functionality Mod uses data packs to determine what items appear in each container. By modifying or creating data packs, you can customize which items drop from specific decorative blocks and adjust their frequency.

Modifying Existing Loot Tables

1. Locate your world's datapacks folder

2. Open the relevant data pack directory

3. Find loot table files associated with Doomsday containers

4. Edit the JSON files to add, remove, or adjust item entries

5. Reload your world or use /reload command

Data packs let you tailor loot to your playstyle. Want more food from certain containers? Reduce tool drops? Add rare items? All of this is possible through loot table customization.

Creating New Loot Configurations

If you're familiar with data pack structure, you can create entirely new loot pools for different container types. This allows you to balance your world's economy and ensure containers provide items relevant to your current progression stage.
