Set Up a Whitelist to Allow Only Specific Pets

Enable Whitelist Mode

Open your mod's configuration file. Find the black_list_mode setting and set it to false. This switches the mod from blocking animals to *only allowing* the ones you specify.

Add Your Approved Pets

Locate the entity_types section in the config. Add the exact game names of animals you want to allow wearing collars. Use the standard Minecraft format:

`

minecraft:wolf

minecraft:cat

minecraft:horse

`

Each pet name goes on its own line. Common domesticable animals include wolves, cats, horses, parrots, and llamas—use their full minecraft: prefixed names.

Test Your List

Save the config and reload your world or server. Try placing a Collar tag on an animal that's on your list—it should work. Try one that isn't listed—it should be rejected. If collars still work on unlisted animals, double-check that black_list_mode is set to false.

Adjust as Needed

Add or remove animal names from entity_types anytime. Changes take effect after a reload.
