How to Perform a Barrel Roll with the Do A Barrel Roll Mod

What a Barrel Roll Actually Is

A barrel roll is a full rotation around your flight direction while you keep moving forward. In this mod it is a roll input, not a scripted animation, so you have to hold the input long enough to complete the rotation.

Steps

1. Get airborne with Elytra and gain some speed with a firework rocket. A barrel roll needs momentum; if you are slow you will just wobble.

2. Keep your mouse steady on the vertical axis so you do not accidentally pitch up or down.

3. Push the mouse left or right to drive the roll. The camera will bank with you, so the horizon tilts instead of staying level.

4. Hold the roll until you come back around to level. Release the mouse input and the wings will settle.

5. If you start losing altitude, tap a rocket mid-roll to keep speed up rather than stopping the rotation.

Tips

• Roll while flying straight, not while climbing, so you do not stall.
• Small, quick rolls are easier to recover from than long ones.
• Practice over open terrain or water where a crash is survivable.
