Configure Parallel World Ticking Across Dimensions

How Parallel World Ticking Works

DivineMC processes the Overworld, Nether, and End on separate threads simultaneously. This prevents one dimension's lag from affecting others—if players cause heavy load in the Nether, the Overworld continues running smoothly.

Enabling Parallel Processing

Locate your server configuration and verify parallel world ticking is enabled. By default, DivineMC activates this feature, but confirm it's not disabled in your settings.

Distributing Player Load

Encourage players to spread across dimensions. When all players concentrate in one world, that thread becomes the bottleneck. Use portals and waypoints to guide players to the Nether and End for activities like mining, farming, or exploration.

Monitoring Dimension Performance

Use diagnostic commands to check individual world tick times. If one dimension consistently lags, investigate for:

  • Excessive redstone contraptions
  • Large mob farms
  • Unoptimized player bases

Relocate or optimize these builds to balance load across threads.
