Hide a Beacon Beam Inside a Building
Planning Your Route
Decide where your beacon is located and where you want the beam to be invisible. The beam travels in a straight line from the beacon, so plan accordingly.
Blocking the Beam with Glass
Build a wall or ceiling section using clear glass or glass panes between the beacon and the outside. The beacon beam will not render through this glass, effectively hiding it from view.
You can create:
- A glass ceiling that blocks the beam
- Glass walls around the beacon
- Multiple layers of glass for complete concealment
Making the Beam Reappear
If you want the beam to show again on the other side of your building, place a colored transparent block (stained glass) at the point where you want it to become visible again. The beam will resume rendering from there.
Practical Applications
This is useful for:
- Keeping beacon beams inside bases without visual clutter
- Creating hidden beacon rooms
- Aesthetic builds where beams would break the design
