Using the Discerning Furnace

How It Works

The Discerning Furnace automatically filters its input slot to accept only items that can be smelted. When you attempt to place a non-smeltable item into the furnace, it will be rejected and remain in your inventory.

This prevents accidental placement of wrong materials and is especially useful in automated systems using hoppers or other item transport. Your smelting setup will no longer jam or waste time processing invalid inputs.

Simply use the furnace as normal—place smeltable items in the input slot, fuel in the fuel slot, and collect results from the output. The mod handles validation silently in the background.
