Re-enable vanilla mob spawning in your world

Check mod installation

Verify the mod is installed correctly by looking for it in your mods folder. The mod should load automatically on startup—check your log file for confirmation.

Understand default behavior

Once installed, the mod works immediately. Vanilla mobs like zombies, skeletons, spiders, and creepers will spawn naturally alongside Pixelmon creatures. You don't need to toggle any settings; the mod prevents Pixelmon from replacing vanilla spawns by default.

Verify spawning in-game

You should see standard mobs appearing naturally. If you're not seeing vanilla mobs:

  • Ensure Pixelmon is also installed (the mod only works when both are present)
  • Check that your world difficulty is set to at least Easy

Coexistence confirmed

Both Pixelmon and vanilla mobs will now spawn in the same world without conflict. Pixelmon creatures spawn in their designated biomes and conditions, while vanilla mobs follow standard Minecraft spawn rules.
