Connect and expand the existing buildings
Creating a settlement network
The fortress, forest house, and blacksmith shop form the foundation of a larger settlement. Build pathways connecting all three structures using fences, walls, or paved roads. This creates a cohesive village feel and makes travel between buildings convenient.
Add signposts at intersections to label directions and distances. Use consistent building materials—diorite, spruce wood, and white blocks work well together—to unify the aesthetic.
Expanding each building
Each existing structure can be enlarged with matching additions. Extend the blacksmith shop with a storage annex or workshop. Add a garden or livestock pen to the forest house. Build towers or defensive walls around the fortress.
Maintain the original architectural style as you expand. The diorite and spruce theme should carry through all new construction.
Adding new structures
Fill gaps in your settlement with new buildings: a market hall, library, barracks, or communal gathering space. Position them logically between existing structures to create a natural flow through the village. This transforms the map from a collection of separate buildings into a functioning community.
