Select and Train a Starter Digimon

Accessing Your Starter

Starter Digimon are readily available in the mod files without requiring configuration changes. When you begin a new world or first interact with the mod, you'll be prompted to choose your starter from available options.

Choosing Wisely

Each starter has distinct strengths: some excel at physical attacks, others at special moves or defense. Consider the early-game wild Digimon you'll face and pick a starter that covers weaknesses. Your choice doesn't lock you out of other Digimon—you can catch them later.

Early Training

Battle wild Digimon to gain experience and level up your starter. Each victory grants experience points that increase stats and unlock new moves. Focus on low-level encounters first to build confidence and learn your starter's moveset.

Building Your Team

Your starter is just the beginning. Catch other Digimon during exploration to create a balanced team of six. Mix types and roles—attackers, defenders, and support—to handle diverse battle situations as you progress.
