Configure Difficulty Settings for a Multiplayer Server

Access Server Settings

On a multiplayer server, the server operator must open the Difficulty Enhancement Mod menu. Server-side settings apply to all players connected to that world.

Set Global Multipliers

The operator navigates to Damage and Health sections and adjusts multipliers to the desired server-wide difficulty. These values will be consistent for every player, preventing balance issues.

Communicate Settings to Players

Inform your players of the new difficulty multipliers so they understand what to expect. Post the settings in your server rules or chat.

Verify Consistency

Have a player join and test combat scenarios to confirm multipliers are applied uniformly. If changes don't appear, the server may need to restart or reload chunks.

Adjust as Needed

Monitor player feedback and adjust multipliers if the difficulty feels too punishing or too easy. The mod allows real-time changes without restarting the server, making it easy to balance your community's experience.
