Adjust Global Damage Multipliers for Your World

Open the Difficulty Menu

Press the designated menu key (default varies by installation) to open the Difficulty Enhancement Mod settings screen. You'll see the main control panel with three navigation buttons at the bottom.

Modify Damage Settings

Locate the Damage section in the menu. This controls how much damage all entities—mobs, players, and environmental hazards—deal to each other.

  • Use the + button to increase damage output across your world
  • Use the − button to decrease damage output
  • Changes apply immediately to all new damage calculations

Save Your Changes

Once you've set damage to your preferred level, confirm your selection. The mod will remember these settings for your world. If you're playing on a server, the server operator must apply these changes globally so all players experience the same difficulty.

Test Your Settings

Encounter a mob or take damage to verify the new multiplier feels right. You can return to the menu at any time to fine-tune further. There's no penalty for adjusting multiple times.
