How to Apply Diagonal Connections to Glass Panes and Iron Bars

The Same Mechanic, Different Blocks

The mod's diagonal connection logic is not limited to wooden fences. Glass panes and iron bars use similar connection behavior, so the same corner-block rule applies: two panes or bars placed diagonally adjacent, with the corner block empty, will connect diagonally.

Steps

1. Build your straight pane or bar run as usual.

2. At the corner, place the connecting pane or bar one block diagonally from the end of the run.

3. Keep the inner corner block empty. Filling it reverts the connection to a right angle.

4. Verify visually — the pane or bar should stretch across the diagonal gap, and its collision shape should match.

Where This Shines

  • Greenhouses and windows with angled corners instead of boxy frames.
  • Balconies and railings that follow a diagonal building outline.
  • Decorative iron bar cages or enclosures with rounded-looking corners.

Cautions

Diagonal panes and bars are thinner than fences, so the diagonal segment can look visually delicate. If you want a sturdier look, use fences for the diagonal joints and panes only on straight runs. As with fences, modded panes and bars that use standard connection logic should also work, but test each modded block individually since some register custom connection rules.
