Prevent Crashes When Performance Drops
Understand the Safety Feature
This resource pack includes automatic crash protection. When your frame rate falls below 20 FPS, the mod detects the performance strain and disables its custom animations. This prevents your game from crashing, but your character will revert to vanilla movement temporarily.
Maintain Stable Performance
To keep animations running smoothly:
1. Reduce render distance — Lower this setting first; it has the biggest impact on FPS
2. Lower graphics settings — Reduce chunk updates, particle effects, and shadow quality
3. Close background applications — Free up system RAM and CPU resources
4. Cap your frame rate at 250 — This prevents the mod from receiving conflicting animation data
Monitor Your Frame Rate
Enable the FPS counter (F3 in vanilla Minecraft) to watch your performance in real time. If you consistently dip below 20 FPS, the animations will keep disabling. Adjust your settings until you maintain at least 25-30 FPS for reliable animation playback.
