Reading Your Armor Bar to Assess Protection

Understanding the Enhanced Display

The Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed mod transforms your standard armor bar into a detailed status panel. Instead of a simple row of armor icons, you now see multiple layers of information at a glance.

How to Interpret the Indicators

Look at your armor bar in the top-left of your screen (or wherever your HUD is positioned). You'll see:

• Main armor bar: Shows your current armor points as usual
• Color-coded overlays: Different colors indicate which protection enchantments are active on your equipped armor. For example, Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, and Projectile Protection each display distinct visual cues
• Durability warnings: When your armor pieces are heavily damaged, the bar will show warning effects to alert you before pieces break
• Mending indicator: If you're wearing mending-enchanted armor and gaining experience, you'll see a visual indicator showing that durability is being restored

Using This Information

Check your armor bar regularly during combat or dangerous situations. The color effects tell you instantly what types of damage you're defended against. If you see durability warnings, prioritize repairing or replacing that armor piece soon. This prevents unexpected deaths from broken armor mid-fight.
