Monitoring Armor Durability and Mending Status

Identifying Durability Damage

The mod provides visual feedback when your armor is taking damage. As you take hits or wear armor over time, the bar will display warning effects—typically intensifying visuals or color shifts—when durability drops to critical levels.

Watching Mending in Action

If your armor has the Mending enchantment, equip it and gain experience by defeating mobs, mining, or other XP-generating activities. The armor bar will show a distinct visual indicator when mending is actively repairing your equipped pieces. This overlay appears separate from your main armor display.

Planning Repairs

Use the durability warnings as a repair schedule:

1. When you see the warning effect, note which armor piece is damaged

2. If it has Mending, continue gaining XP to let it self-repair

3. If it doesn't have Mending, visit an anvil or grindstone soon

4. Keep spare armor or repair materials in your base

By monitoring the bar consistently, you'll never be caught with broken armor in a dangerous situation. The mod essentially gives you a maintenance dashboard for your protective gear.
