Use Distant Horizons Integration for Extended View Distance

Verify Mod Compatibility

Ensure you have the Distant Horizons mod installed alongside Dercode Shaders. The shader is optimized to work with this mod's extended terrain rendering.

Configure Render Distance

In your video settings, adjust the render distance slider. With Distant Horizons active, you can set values higher than normal Minecraft limits. The shader will render distant terrain with appropriate LOD (level of detail) adjustments.

Adjust Shader Settings for Distance

In the shader menu, look for Distant Horizon or LOD options. These settings control:

  • Fog distance: How far before terrain fades into the horizon
  • Detail level: How much detail appears in far-away chunks
  • Transition smoothness: How gradually distant terrain blends with nearby terrain

Balance Performance

Higher render distances demand more from your GPU. Start with moderate settings and increase gradually while monitoring frame rates. The combination of volumetric lighting and extended view distance can significantly impact performance, so adjust both settings together to find your optimal balance.
