Adjust Focus Distance and Blur Intensity
Accessing Shader Configuration
Depth of Field effects can be customized to suit your preference. Open your shader options (Video Settings > Shaders) and look for DepthField Shaders configuration options.
Common Adjustable Settings
Most implementations allow you to modify:
- Focus distance: How far from your camera the sharp point is. Closer values make nearby objects blurry; farther values keep distant objects in focus.
- Blur strength: How intense the background blur appears. Higher values create a more dramatic camera lens effect.
- Focus point: Whether focus follows your crosshair or stays at a fixed distance.
Fine-Tuning for Your Setup
Start with default settings and make small adjustments. If everything looks blurry, your focus distance is likely too close. If you see no blur at all, increase the blur intensity slider. Test by looking at objects at different distances and adjusting until the effect feels natural for your playstyle and screenshot style.
