Troubleshoot Missing Dark Mode Textures in Mod GUIs

Check Resource Pack Order

The most common cause of missing dark textures is incorrect resource pack ordering. The Expansion Pack must load after (above in the list) the original Default Dark Mode.

1. Go to Options → Resource Packs

2. Verify the Expansion Pack appears above the base Default Dark Mode

3. If not, drag it to the correct position

4. Click Done

Reload and Restart

1. Close and reopen your world, or use F3 + T to reload textures

2. Open a modded GUI to check if dark textures now appear

3. If still missing, fully restart Minecraft

Verify Mod Compatibility

Not all mods are covered by the Expansion Pack (it supports 80-90 popular mods). If a specific mod's GUI remains bright:

• Check the mod's official documentation to confirm it's listed as supported
• Some newer mod versions may not be covered yet
• Consider reporting unsupported mods to help future updates
