Set up Default Dark Mode with the Expansion Pack

Prepare Your Resource Packs

To use the Expansion Pack effectively, you need both the original Default Dark Mode and the Expansion Pack installed. The Expansion Pack is designed as an add-on and works best when layered on top of the base pack.

Load Packs in Correct Order

1. Open your resource packs folder in .minecraft/resourcepacks/

2. Ensure both the original Default Dark Mode and the Expansion Pack are present

3. In-game, open Options → Resource Packs

4. Move the Expansion Pack above the original Default Dark Mode in the active list (drag it higher)

5. The Expansion Pack should load last to override base textures

6. Click Done and restart your world

Verify Installation

Open any modded GUI from your installed mods. You should see dark-themed textures instead of the default bright interface. If GUIs still appear bright, check that the Expansion Pack is positioned above the base pack in your load order. Some mods may require a full game restart to display correctly.
