Use Block Blending with Sodium for Better Performance

Prepare Your Setup

Deep Origins Overlays works with the Sodium mod to provide additional customization. Ensure both Fusion and Sodium are installed alongside the resource pack.

Enable Self-Blending

When Sodium is active, the resource pack gains the ability to blend blocks into themselves. This creates smoother transitions when the same block type meets another instance of itself, reducing visual seams and creating more cohesive terrain.

Access Respackopts and look for the Sodium-specific blending option. Enable it to activate this feature.

Optimize Your Experience

This self-blending option works best when you're building with uniform materials or creating natural terrain. The effect is particularly noticeable with stone variants, dirt, grass, and sand blocks. If you experience performance issues, you can disable this toggle while keeping other overlay effects active, giving you fine-grained control over visual quality versus frame rate.
