Understanding the Vicinity Column

With this mod, items no longer jump into your inventory automatically. Instead, open your inventory (E key) and look at the Vicinity column on the left side. This panel shows all dropped items within a three-block radius of your character, organized in a scrollable list.

Collecting Loot

1. Open your inventory screen

2. Locate the item you want in the Vicinity column

3. Click the item name or icon to select it

4. Drag it into an empty slot in your main inventory grid, or directly into your Hands slot for immediate use

5. Repeat for additional items

Tips for Faster Looting

Stay close to dropped items—the three-block scan radius means you may need to reposition to see everything nearby. If the Vicinity list is long, scroll through it to find specific items. Pay attention to the distance measurements shown next to each item; items further away will disappear from the list as you move.
