Access and Manage Nearby Containers

Finding Containers in the Vicinity Menu

When you open your inventory, the Vicinity column displays both dropped items and nearby storage blocks like chests, barrels, and other containers within three blocks. Each container appears as a clickable selector with its block type and coordinate tooltip.

Opening Container Drawers

1. Open your inventory (E key)

2. Locate the container name in the Vicinity column

3. Click the container selector icon to expand an inline slot drawer

4. The drawer opens directly on your screen without closing the main inventory

5. Drag items between the drawer and your inventory freely

6. Close the drawer by clicking its selector again or opening a different container

Organizing Multiple Containers

The coordinate tooltips help you identify which container is which, especially useful when multiple storage blocks are nearby. You can open multiple drawers simultaneously to compare contents and transfer items between containers without closing your inventory screen.
